Financial Support

REQUEST SUPPORT TO ATTEND THE MEETING

Please read the following material carefully before applying for financial support at the link given below

Requests for financial support for AN2025 are now closed.

We will announce support awards by mid-April however as previously advised, students, graduate students, and postdocs will be notified about meeting registration support (excluding travel costs) earlier than mid-April, allowing them to register without needing to pay the registration fee upfront.

As the deadline for Abstract Submission and Requests for Financial Support have being extended to Friday 7th March 2025, this means the notification for this has also been extended to Friday 14th March 2025.

Requests for financial support to attend AN2025 may be submitted until 11:59 pm (local time of the applicant) on February 28, 2025. We encourage early applications, as we may be able to allocate some funds on a rolling basis.

We invite anyone who may need support to attend AN2025 to apply at the link below. Please note that, due to international financial constraints, we are expecting lower levels of external funding for this meeting compared to previous years. As a result, full support is unlikely, so it’s essential that applicants have additional sources of funding if needed.

Our highest priority for financial support will be students, postdocs, early-career investigators, and colleagues from developing countries. However, all are welcome to apply, and we will make every effort to assist as many participants as our funding allows.

Criteria for support:

  1. First Author Requirement: Applicants must be the first author on an abstract.
  2. Chapter Submission Commitment: Applicants must agree to submit a chapter, based on the work reported, for inclusion in the book to be published from the meeting (see the Abstract Submission page). Reimbursement will only be processed once the chapter has been submitted and accepted.
  3. Additional Funding Sources: Except for students, postdocs, and participants from underdeveloped countries, applicants must demonstrate partial support from other funding sources to help cover the costs of attending the meeting.

Support Award Notifications and Process

We will announce support awards by mid-April. However, students, graduate students, and postdocs will be notified about meeting registration support (excluding travel costs) by March 1, allowing them to register without needing to pay the registration fee upfront. Please see additional details below.

Individuals may request financial support even prior to submitting an abstract or registering for the meeting. However, aside from student registration support, we will not confirm any financial support until you have submitted your abstract and completed registration.

Please note that any awarded financial support (other than registration support, if provided) will not be paid until after the meeting and upon acceptance of your chapter based on the presentation for publication. We will work to process reimbursements promptly after chapter acceptance. Be prepared to provide receipts for travel, accommodation, meals, and other eligible expenses to facilitate reimbursement.

NOTE TO STUDENTS, GRADUATE STUDENTS, and POSTDOCS:

To support your attendance, we will inform you about meeting registration support by March 1, 2025. Please note that information about other types of financial support will be provided by mid-April at the latest. You are welcome to register for the meeting before receiving financial support. When registering, select the option “Requesting Support” to register without paying the registration fee upfront (ancillary costs, such as guest fees and other possible costs, will still apply).
